
NEA's Constructor College
Gets Started May 14-15
April 9, 2002 - NEA - The Association of Union Constructors (www.nea-online.org) is kicking off its initial session of courses for the NEA Constructor College in connection with the association's Constructor Certification Program. . Four courses will be offered three times this year at three different locations:
- May 14-15 in Cleveland, Ohio;
- Aug. 13-14 in Baltimore, Md., and
- Oct. 16-17 in St. Louis, Mo.
The courses being offered are: risk management ("You're either Assuming the Risk or Managing the Risk);" labor agreements ("Is Your Labor Agreement Working For You or Against You?"); project control ("What You Don't Measure - You Can't Manage"), and safety and health ("Developing and Improving Your Safety & Health Program"). The Risk Management program will discuss contractual risk awareness, bonding, EMRs, and Workers' Comp/claim management. The session on project control plans on delving into scheduling, cost control, forecasting, and cash flow.
Registration is on a first come, first served basis, with a maximum of 30 students per class.
