GLFEA assists members by answering questions that may result when interpreting contract language. GLFEA also provides up-to-date information on issues affecting employment.

GLFEA negotiates and administers a number of collective bargaining agreements governing all phases of member activities.
Administration of Trust Funds
GLFEA is a settler for various ERISA (Taft-Hartley) funds governing pension, health care, training and labor management.

GLFEA keeps members informed about the latest news on labor, technology, health and safety through the association's Website, newsletters and bulletins.
Legislative Action
GLFEA monitors federal and state legislation that may impact member businesses, and where necessary can lobby on their behalf. GLFEA can initiate appropriate action when necessary and advise members on issues that affect our industry.
Education
GLFEA hosts meetings and seminars on topics of interest to member organizations. GLFEA coordinates breakfast meetings to further enhance opportunities to interact with the engineering community. GLFEA sponsors lecture series aimed at the architectural community. In addition, GLFEA's bulletins and monthly newsletter are effective tools for referencing the latest information affecting membership.
Public/Industry Relations
GLFEA can proactively assist in the development of news releases and provide crisis intervention as needed. GLFEA sponsors and participates in various industry-related activities. GLFEA is an investor in the Detroit Regional Economic Partnership, which brings business to the Southeastern Michigan Region.
Resource Center
GLFEA has a free lending library where members can borrow training and educational videos to enhance their professional aptitude. Through various sources GLFEA can provide or direct members to answers to many of the questions they have regarding their businesses.
Social and Networking Opportunities?
GLFEA hosts membership meetings offering networking and educational opportunities. The association's annual meeting and reception also provides an opportunity for members to network and exchange information about related industries.
